Hate Consumes The World Today Poem by Luke Easter

The Sunnis hate the Shiites,
They can’t agree on one word,
Unless it’s something both despise,
I am speaking of the Kurds.

Blacks hate the whites,
Whites hate them back,
Well, not all really do,
Hate is only from fool.

The rich detest all poor,
Always wanting more,
Don’t raise the minimum wage,
A balance is lost they say.

Excuse me, a balance of what?
Is that before or after the tax?
And of course after raising prices,
Wealthy get the difference back.

Straights hate all gays,
Some have even killed,
They can’t stand their ways,
And for this a grave is filled?

Lions and Hyenas hate each other,
So do human sisters and brothers,
Mom can’t stand the sight of dad,
All this hate is driving me mad.

In prison some whites hate other whites,
Nowhere is safe to walk the streets at night,
Stats are up to be raped, shot or stabbed,
T.O. is catching passes from Romo not McNabb.

Companies don’t like unions,
Without them some will not work,
Sick and tired of salary,
Treating hourly like dirt.

Seniors want far away from freshmen,
Palestinians seek to kill the Jews,
Most Americans are tired of Hispanics,
Hey out there, does anyone have good news?

Whether north, south, east or west,
Real or implants in the breast,
Fat, skinny, pretty, ugly, short or tall,
The Lord thy God still loves us all.
