Happy New Year Poem by Natarajan Ramaseshan

Happy New Year

Hark, hark the blithesome chiming of temple bells
Arrival of the New Year verily it tells
The past sped fast-it can't last or linger
Future beckons- the New Year is its harbinger.

Loads of woes, lots of worries and ire,
Hatred, regrets, fears were all here.
Cast them away with the year that's gone.
This year is new and new is this morn.

Welcome.welcome oh, year of hope and joy.
Give us strength of body, mind and soul, ahoy!
Let ringing bells and shining lights usher
Mirth, merriment and happiness in forever!
