Happy New Year Poem by yesk nair

Happy New Year

Probabilities withered
Under the debris,
Of the past year.
Were I couldn’t
Meet truth anywhere.
All ceremonial fools say
Dawn unseen bestows hopes
Of goodwill, peace and harmony.
Here I am in my infancy
Where the ways departing
To their own destinies
Like a vagabond
I am probing
My ways in mystery
Ways back to memories,
Are ways to sluggish.
Echoes of soliloquy
Asks me- where to go?
Utter dismay
Asks me where to go?
I cannot be me
To greet
Happy New Year
Till the oppressed
Cannot dream
A Happy New Year!
