'Happy Christmas, ’09! ' Poem by Dr John Celes

Each year a Christmas comes and goes;
And Christ is born to end our woes;
He wore the garb of poverty
To take us to eternity!

The babe-king chose a manger just
To enter world as Jesus Christ;
He came to forgive all sinners,
And make them righteous true winners!

The Christmas festival brings cheer
To kith and kin and ones far, near;
Let’s celebrate the holy day
With prayers, hymns to thank God, Aye!

Let stars illumine every home;
Let neighbors, strangers be welcome;
Let Christmas trees remind the world
That God will shower gifts untold.

Let baby Jesus give us peace
Eluding all for long, with ease;
Let’s share the joy with folks around,
With foods, fun, gaiety, music sound!

O baby Jesus, Savior King!
Your divine presence, mirth does bring;
Your Father’s gift to world of men
Will take all souls pure to heaven!

Let’s remember this wondrous day;
Let’s lead our lives in God-told way;
Let’s show the world the Living God,
Who loves mankind and is the Lord!
