Happy Birthday To Me! Poem by Kasia Fedyk

I woke up from a dream;
It was so sudden.
Moments ago I was swimming
in my Mother's womb
it felt good there,
so secure.
I was still a part of two worlds,
Heaven and my Mother,
being nourished from both sides
one my soul, the other my body.
I was given all the messages from beyond,
how my journey will be,
what I have chosen to become
and choices, so many choices before me,
the beauty I saw was breathtaking, incredible,
- love, pure love, fireworks.
I still couldn't believe I was swimming in this flesh
Oh my God,
what an experience,
my umbilical cord-such an instrument of life-
a dancing breath.
I was scared, not sure,
if I was actually prepared for this journey,
I saw fragments of my choices,
becoming more foggy,
closer I got to taking my first breath of air.
I didn't know what to think, what to feel
so I have erased all my previous lives,
so I hoped,
I became a fresh soul, a new soul,
preparing for my journey,
excitement rushed through me
Oh, here we go
I'm going to be born,
into this new world
my fist breath, my first cry,
my mother will be seeing me for the first time,
here I am...
