Happy Birthday Momma Poem by Keri Jopplin

Happy Birthday Momma

Rating: 5.0

I think of you often a hundred times a day,
To the Lord I ask, for my momma I pray;
No more suffering in Heaven you lay,
You would have been older sixty-two today.
I wonder if you see me? Do you hear my prayer?

There's lots for you momma, do know I care.
Are you happy up there, with our Lord above?
Kept close in His arms and shown His love?
Today's your birthday, 'Happy Birthday' to you!
My dear sweet momma there are so few.

I'm sending our love and birthday wishes,
Plenty of hugs and lots of kisses.
From Aunt June and all, also another;
Your grandchildren too and even your mother.
I'm talking 'bout Keli and Kristi too,

The death of you has made us blue.
It's not the same with out you here,
We're sad that you're gone, there goes a tear.
We miss your laughter, your smile and touch;
Your silliness and tenderness is missed so much!

The touch of your hand and your sweet caress,
We miss you more now and t'morrow no less.
With our Lord now, you'll live forever,
In our hearts and mind, forget you? Never!
I hold out my hand to my momma, my friend;

We'll love and remember you, always to the end.
I write this for you momma, it's my dedication;
In memory of you, I'll show my appreciation,
God bless Keli, Kristi and Nanny, to name a few,
God bless my family and friends and my momma too!
