Happy Birthday, Dear Mom, Anyway Poem by Dr John Celes

Happy Birthday, Dear Mom, Anyway

We love you Mom and miss you very much;
A bold and brave woman, you were all life;
A special soul amongst many mothers;
A lovely person, better than others.

A simple girl who slogged for family's sake;
A humble soul, who walked in righteous lane;
An example unto the world, most loved;
A tower of silence, refuge and of strength.

You're one who stayed with wisdom throughout life;
You're one who prayed fervently amidst strife;
You're one who kept the harmony and peace;
You're one who knitted all children with love.

You showed the light and way unto heaven;
You lived by sheer will-power and fortitude;
You turned to be a source of strength, courage;
You were a fortress strong for all children.

We miss you mom, your smiling, loving face;
We're sure to meet you in heaven again;
Then let your soul in eternal rest stay;
We remember your birthday still, today.

We admire the way you brought us up;
The love you fostered amongst us, children;
The sacrifices done for sake of God;
The wonderful stories and sane advice.

The tasty foods of variety you cooked;
Your patience when you cared for us when ill;
How well you guided us in joys and woes!
Your love of God, Son Jesus, mom Mary.

You were the cheer, delight and warmth at home;
You lit our lives and kept aglow our hearts;
You raised the flame of love of God, brethren;
We miss you mother on this special day.

We know not many can ever match you;
You were our lovely, loving mom on earth;
You did your duties exemplarily;
May God reward you amply in heaven!

We wish you happy birthday anyway!
You were just everything, children wish for!
You are the rose, whose beauty never fades,
Perfuming world like in the everglades.

To our beloved mother (late) on her birthday
