I reached out in the dark
I was feeling old
Felt you near me
It warmed my soul
Its been a long time
For you and me
Forty-two years
You know I still see
Still see the young woman
Who stole my heart
Who lifted my spirits
From the very start
The center of my world
You've come to be
Wouldn't have it any other way
Just you and me
And though it seems
Like any other day
On this our anniversary
'Love You, ' is all I can say
It comes from the heart
Deep down within
Your one of the only things
I've ever let in
