Happy 18th Birthday Poem by Alice Cordy

Happy 18th Birthday

Rating: 5.0

18 years I've watched you grow
With pride inside me heart
No matter where your life may lead you,
We'll never be apart, even from the start.

As your mum all I want to say,
I am proud of your ways.
You have grown into a fine young man
I will always be your number one fan.
But now it's time for me to step aside
and let you explore the countryside.

I hope your journeys always blessed
And all your dreams come true
There's no time for rest,
so show the world your best.

Keep going, keep reaching new heights
But be aware of the blue and red lights.
Be honest and true to yourself and have no regrets.
Life is too short, even reaching for that last cigarette.

No matter where you roam
You'll always have a place to call home.
You are never on your own
even when you feel alone,
I'm just at the other end of the phone
Always helping you through your next milestone.

I want to say Thank you
For being who you are
I am so very proud of you
And I know that you'll go far

- just remember that you my dear, are special to none.
Happy 18th birthday
Daniel.

What a gift to Daniel, ! What can be better for him than this, a mother's lovely advice, full of wisdom. I hope when he will bid farewell to his teenage he will see his mother's name on the top as a poetess of beauty.
