Throughout one's life, happiness is the most desirable goal. Happiness to the greatest degree. But happiness is not a choice. Happiness is instead a result.
You have many choices in life - elation not being among them. Rather, your degree of happiness, is but a mere reflection of the choices you make. Your actions are a choice, money is a choice, education is a choice, relationships are a choice, respect and loyalty are both choices, as well as how you value yourself. This are all things in which you decide, but happiness is the measure of how you manage all these things. Happiness comes when you take care of the basics, enforce morality, & pursue love. Then happiness will be the default result.
