Happiness Poem by Abby Sze

Happiness

Rating: 5.0

Lonely is a tree,
Caught by cluster of soil,
Established above layers of rock,
There it grows
Like a nightmare expands.

Sorrow is a flower,
The blossoming of colours
from a petal to the next.
There it open
To attract all kinds of darkness.

Silence is a dandelion,
The weak seed attached to,
Forced to scatter
And separate in unknowns.

But happiness is a seed.
Hiding within somewhere
Sprout as climate feels good.
Which it, of course,
Understand it will flower and become a tree Maybe.
But there are destiny,
Cannot escape.
There are journey,
Waiting ahead.
There are karma,
To be paid or to be treated.

But it will grow in joy
If it understand
That happiness can retain
In great sorrow and deep dark,
At the time it choose to be happy.

Excellent poem, I love it! I like how you focus on each detail separately and expand on it, then in the end culminating with the understanding that happiness can be found in great sorrow and darkness if we choose to find it and be happy. Very profound words! Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
