Happiness Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

Happiness

Heard a man say
just this very day
'Happiness is found along the way,
not at the end of the road.'

A little something to live by
small glimmer of hope
A little pick-me-up
to help anyone cope

Happiness can be fleeting
hard to grab and hold
Yet found in the simplest of things
as we continue to grow

The words struck a cord
down in my soul
An important reminder
to treasure as I grow old

Don't want to wait
to be happy in the end
Time might run out
before I ever begin
