Happenstance Things Poem by Patti Masterman

Happenstance Things

Rating: 5.0

Do not be hurt
By happenstance things;
A wreck on the roadway,
Late-coming trains.

A broken tea-cup,
A waistline grown fatter-
Things you can fix
Don't really matter.

But take care of hearts
(And things that are fragile)
And yours will grow wings
And become ever agile.

Things you can fix Don't really matter. I think you meant (can’t) fix I much enjoyed your poem and its message for life. Nice one.
