Happenings Poem by Heather Burns

Happenings

Rating: 5.0

Under a weeping
willow
sitting
wind courting
the leaves

whispering softly
over and over
a name

reaching in the
evening
grasping for your
hand

so near, almost
touching
suddenly slipping
away

In the distance
looking
a shadow
approaching

now walking
beside me
so familiar
reflections of
you

looking out over
the water
clouds gathering
moisture

raindrops begin
to surface
the sky cries.

Beautiful poem! Like a fleeting dream, the vision has faded, leaving you in loneliness! Enjoyed!
