Hannie's 70th Birthday Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Hannie's 70th Birthday

His spirit hovered overhead,
He cast his eyes below,
On the Sunborn Yacht Hotel,
Where Family and Friends today did go.

For Aaron Silas wished to see,
That all assembled would enjoy,
The Party for Hannie's 70th Birthday,
Given for her, by their Boys.

On the Nineteenth of August 2007,
It was Hannie Silas's 70th Birthday,
And Friends and Family did gather there,
To help her celebrate her Day.

To remember all the Good Years,
And those that were so sad,
Which as a loving Family,
Of the Memories, we were all glad.

It was a different venue,
For a Party to be held,
On a Yacht Hotel moored on the Thames,
And the Conviviality excelled.

Hannie was born in Calcutta,
On a Boat to England, with Aaron, she sailed,
Alas, Aaron is no longer at her side,
But his Memory by all, was hailed.
