Hands Together

Forget me not in the dark night
Where the Sun lost its bright key
Left me all alone to fight
Subconscious static boils fear

Survival modes kick in high gear
Cat’s intuitive whiskers to guide
Fruit bats sonar beam to clear
Obstacles in flight not my glide

My heart longs for your hand
Lost alone on my darkened walk
No life birthed the barren land
When seeds fall on hardened rock

Furrows in need of budding hope
The future never guaranteed
With hands together we sow hope
Belief is life best chance to seed
