an ancient beggar

his hat positioned to catch

pennies from Heaven

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This old man is on the street corner day and night incorporating the classic form utilized by the down and out in America since the first man fell on hard times... hat in hand, hoping for charity.
