Guilt Poem by Lily Espinosa

Guilt

I miss you so much,
As if we were fresh young lovers.
Who would guess we've got nearly two years of history behind us,
That we're not actually together.

A guilty little affair,
Is what feels like is going on,
Hushed whispers, and secret 'i love you's passed between us,
(But we mustn't let the others hear!)

It was almost how i remembered 'us' today,
With little talk of our new relationships,
There was nothing to get in the way,
Nothing that is but morals.

Just morals.

Since when did one little six letter word become so big?
Big enough to get in the way of us?
It would be immoral to kiss,
Immoral to touch,
It's immoral really, to have said this much.
