Mother made sure
My steps were firm
As I grew up to lead
A life of my own.

Father guided me
To take the right path
Helping me build up
A personality my own.

Teachers provided
The knowledge I needed
To pursue a path
To a career of my own.

Friends at all stages
Gave me needed advice
And encouraged equally
In failures and successes.

My life's partner now
Helps me lead a life
Of tranquility and peace
Showing ways to help others.

I owe my indebtedness
To so many close ones
This' the thread that holds
My life strongly together.
