Guardian Poem by Renee Maritz

Guardian

You’re the buckle to my belt, the laces to my shoes
The batteries to my torch, my strong masonry screws

You keep me together, you keep me safe
You look out for me, while in your embrace

You face my demons, you face my danger
You’re my superhero, you’re my game ranger

Without your love I’ll fall apart
I’ll go insane, so please don’t break my heart
