Grey Skies Poem by Gordon Merritt

Grey Skies

Grey skies turn to crystal blue
Each time I see your face
Your lilting voice is softer
Than the finest silk and lace

Your lips are sweet as cherry wine
Your smile is snowy white
Your eyes shine like the stars do
On a gentle summer night

Your elegance is timeless
Your beauty unsurpassed
The moment I laid eyes on you
Your magic spell was cast

If every man could look upon
The magic in your eyes
Then each would know of heaven
Long before he dies
