Greeting Cards Poem by Joan Nash

Greeting Cards

Rating: 5.0

Send a card
Please send a note
Wrapped in plastic.

Sterile, quiet, serene
Stay healthy.

Don't trust people.
Don't trust yourself too much.

Be nice.
More than that, think twice.

Friends are nice.
Being a friend is good.
Say hello, send a greeting.
Be polite - be nice.

Email will go all over the place.
To every member of the human race.
Before it gets to me.
It's okay though, you see.

Maybe not.
Please just send a card.
Hope it's not too hard.

The essence and beauty of greeting cards can never be replicated or replaced by electronic mails (emails) . Insightful piece of poetry nicely penned with conviction. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing Joan. Please read my poem THE OBSESSIVE AGONY OF LUST.
