Greek Siblings Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Greek Siblings

Greek siblings

My Greek siblings
You are my next of kin
Ignore rest, they are mean
Single is the purpose, loot-steal.

You and I, brother, my sister or cousins
Have sat there for ages, side by side
For the peace and growth, even fight
Those with huts in between
Few worms and some fools, if not toys
for looters, burglars, and liars.

Sea is yours, ocean mine
Lands are ours and skies
We jointly gave names to
Galaxies and stars.

Look at the unaware; acting dumb
Let us hug, and smile at clouds
At their way, narrow-mind.

Closest living one, my blood
You are my relatives, let us kill
the borders, barriers, bars of cage.
