Great Titles Poem by Chris Jibero

Great Titles

Titles that men bear these days
Cannot be better
And greater
Than these
Revealed by Christ
To his servant John
In the isle that is called Patmos
So lovely and so thrilling
All our Lord’s
The beginning of the creation of God
He who is, and who was, and who is to come
Alpha and omega
The beginning and the ending
The first and the last
He that is holy
He that is true
The fruitful and true witness
The prince of the kings of the earth
He that opens and no one shuts,
And shuts and no one opens
He that searches reins and hearts
The Lion of the tribe of Judah
The root of David
He that has the key of David
The Lamb of God
He that loved us
And washed us
From our sins with his blood
The first begotten of the dead
He that sits upon the throne
He that lives forever
The Almighty
The Amen
Beautiful, beautiful, all are beautiful
Oh our Lord Jesus Christ
What great and beautiful titles you have!
