Great Artists

Monet ~ Turner ~ Constable...
Distinguished Artists of yesteryear.
Magnificent paintings from the past
Fill the connoisseur's heart with cheer.

Claude Monet's wonderful 'Water Lilies'
And his 'Morning On The Seine'
Are so very valuable...
Their splendour will never wane.

Just as dramatic was William Turner
British Artist of great renown,
Master of Landscapes, Castles and Sunsets
Forever to be handed down.

The world-famous Painter John Constable
With his art work of Rivers and Vales
Is held in great esteem by all artists
And his popular Hay Wain never fails.

Monet ~ Turner ~ Constable...
Distinguished Artists of yesteryear.
Magnificent paintings from the past
Fill the Connoisseur's heart with cheer.

poet Hilaire Belloc

Matilda told such Dreadful Lies,
It made one Gasp and Stretch one's Eyes;
Her Aunt, who, from her Earliest Youth,
Had kept a Strict Regard for Truth,
