Gray Times Poem by Mark Bratlie

Gray Times

Rating: 4.5

Black day
coming hard
around the bend
to slam me home

Gray times
already here
set the stage
with angst and fear

Shifting eyes
with wary gaze
scan horizons
for gathering storm

Crisis looms
as hope retreats
into the shadows
dark and deep

Muscles clench
while spirits fall
as panic searches
through the pall

Will darkness win
or light prevail
I never know
the end of tale
