Gray Sky Poem by Anya Garcia

Gray Sky

The skies are gray today
turbulent, misbehaving,
they're causing the rain.
But, the darkness they bring
reminds how I could not
sleep, it's always dark
with this pain.
I wish there was a switch
to shut this feeling off or
make time go fast,
No matter where I turn I
know that whatever
peace I obtain
won't last.
This crippling pain grabs
hold when all is quiet,
When you're not here
My biggest fear...you're not here.
