Graveyard Humour Poem by Eric Bult

Graveyard Humour

A friend of mine once bought a house and land
Where long ago a graveyard did exist.
He quickly made some home improvements and
Showed promise as an horticulturist.
He married soon thereafter to a lass
Who carried odd beliefs suggesting she
Heard voices from the graves which showed alas
That either she was right or maybe he.
Now many of his friends made their suggestions
As how the graveyard voices could be purged.
Hilarity was rife on all occasions
Until to hold a seance he was urged.

My story is unfortunately true:
They parted and he married number two.
