Graven Greediness Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

In this poem poet has described about the greediness. When a child born, he has no vice but gradually greed fixates the child at the rate of his or her growing. There are many vices like lust, anger, attachment, bad habits etc. Greediness is one of them. It attaches the persons to the lovely things like the attachment of a vice. Here vice means instrument with two jaws between which a thing may be gripped. It spreads everywhere like the mice. Greed plays negatively an important role in the society which makes a man greedy. Greedy wants many things like fitments and humdingers and to get, he or she becomes grievous. Avarice person earn money and wealth by any means and he or she has no kindness. Greedy persons fed the peaceful mind and charm. Some beautiful things or persons attract the greedy. A plant with small fragrant greyish-green flowers named mignonette attracts the bees that hum.Fish in water is attracted the feeding in a small curved nail by the person. In greed fish eats and does loss life. If we desire we can remove the greed. We have to labour hard in a righteous way like ants. We should know that matters are like earthen pots which are perishable, but virtuous qualities like purity, love, nonviolence, kindness etc. are eternal and distinct. Poet at last requests the people to have values in life and meditate to God for they can get peace, love, happiness, and kindness in which the Graven Greediness like a sharp knife can't do any harm. This is the theme of the poem in brief. It is written in Deogarh, Odisha, India on this day of 5th November,2014 and is dedicated to the people of the World.
