Grandpa Poem by Jordan Barnett

Grandpa

Rating: 5.0

He was a sargent, husband, father and son,
He used to laugh at how I handled a gun.
We always used to laugh at all of his jokes,
And he really liked to smoke.
But there he made a fatal mistake,
When we found out he had cancer, his life was at stake.
We didn't know how long he could take it,
But we soon found out that he wouldn't make it.
And on September 24,2006 not 2007,
He walked through the Golden Gates of Heaven.
