Grand Canyon Through English Eyes Poem by Lindsey Priest

Grand Canyon Through English Eyes

Rating: 5.0

First glimpse
Snatched breath
Awesome!
Deep ravines
Red rock
Glowing.
Follow the muddy
Ribbon of water,
Gasp at sheer
Cliffs
And rugged valleys.
Eagle soars
Through cloudless sky,
Smiling as eagles do,
At the inability
Of man
To see what he sees,
Hear what he hears,
go where he goes!
Glowing
Red rock,
Deep ravines,
Awesome!
Sigh at
Last glimpse
And
Reluctantly
Turn
Away
