Gorilla Hand Carved - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Gorilla Hand Carved - Lincoln Park Zoo

The hand of a gorilla is
Like a human's, but stronger made.
The thumb is key to handy biz,
Indespensible finger aid,
Carving pumpkins on Halloween.
Humans don't have monopoly.
My Jack-o-lanterns can be seen
At Lincoln Park Zoo - and for free.
Granted, my carvings don't last long,
Cuz smashing pumpkins is so fun.
What good is it being so strong,
If some destruction can't be done?

Azizi, ace carver - no jest.
At carving pumpkins - I'm the best.
