Goodnight You Poem by Delilah Miller

Goodnight You

Rating: 5.0

Goodnight, you.
I’ll see you in the moonlight.

I’ll wink at your star
If you dream about mine.
I’ll joke about the distance, how far,
If you’re looking for me, but not looking behind.

Well you’re up so high
And I’m not too tall
Without those heels I’ve always wanted to buy
But I’ve put it off; I know how much you don’t like the mall.

Goodnight, you.
Can we say goodbye without saying we’re through?

It is the goodnight you
I always get, daily and nightly
I toss and turn, and for who?
I see you in the sky, and you're traveling rightly

So goodnight you.
I'll see you in the moonlight.
I can't look for the day's bite

It's very flowing, and very intriguing... a strong addition. I believe you can say 'goodbye' without saying youre through... sjg
