Goodnight Little Darling Poem by Marites C. Cayetano

Goodnight Little Darling

Goodnight,
sleep tight little darling
the angels
will soon come down
to guard you
while you sleep.

Oh, no
little darling
you need not wait
for them
because they have rules
not to enter your room
when you're awake.

And please,
don't ask me why
little darling
because I promised
to make it a secret.

Don't worry little darling
when you grow up
you will also learn about
the secret too.

So, goodnight,
sleep tight little darling
the angels
will soon be here.
