Goodnight Angel Poem by Christian Rivera

Goodnight Angel

Goodnight my Angel of the heavens
And the bright lights
Sleep tight in the shelter of the blessed
Through the cool nights

The sun has shown and gone to rest
Her candle's blown to ease the stress
Of the city streets both east and west
Yesterday I know I'll miss

Goodnight Cupid with your bow and arrows
Side by side
Like the lovers in which your aim is narrowed
To their hearts and mine

Your cherub wings deserve to sleep
The angel's sing soft melodies
My eyes have closed and I'm in dream
My heart and home will stay with me
