Goodbye Davy Jones Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Goodbye Davy Jones

Goodbye Davy Jones
Your music fills our memories
They are the soundtracks of our lives
Thank you so much for giving these.

Our high school days come back in song
The laughter, stockings, Twiggy looks-
It seems it has not been that long
When we hid your photo in our books.

Those days were filled so much laughter
Mop-head hair and bobby socks
Guitar in hand, sang 'I'm A Believer'
And with your music, did we rock!

Rest in peace, as we bid goodbye
Your songs will always have a part
In this our life, though now we cry
We love you, Davy - from the heart!

For Davy Jones, lead singer Monkees, artist - February 29,2012 RIP)

Dear Cynthia, you have such a sweet heart and spirit, and a very talented pen. Thank you for this tribute to Davy, who will live on in our hearts. Thank you also for so many sweet comments you have made on my poetry. I shall read more of your beautiful writes as I am able to. I have Glaucoma, am almost totally blind, and what vision I do have only allows sight temporarily each day! Blessings, Rob
