Goodbye Poem by Celene Bonin

Goodbye

So I say goodbye
As I lie down and die
I shall spare an invocation
Unseen by this cruel nation

So tell me now my critical fears
As I silently shed my tears
While living in a world gone mad
Fearing the dread I always had

This world was always so cold
To survive you must be oh so bold
Now it is I that everyone blames
So may they all go down in flames

Nights of untainted spite
I know that somehow I must fight
The pain that lies within
Hiding behind this painted on grin

Waiting for the cruelty to impede
But instead I just bleed
Now my life is undefined
So I leave myself behind
