Goodbye Poem by Jessica Goudreault

Goodbye

You left me alone
Broken without you
Taunting me with your absence
I am only innocent

With a whisper you left
Thinking I'd be fine
But I do not want to leave the one that is mine

We promised our love, a sacred bond
But now I am here, and you are gone

You have left my arms
You linger in my heart
Away from me
Our memories become a distant memory

It's too quick to move on
From a shattered heart
Eventually I will be okay
But it is not yet that day
Soon enough it will come
With a new light and a new love
Making things alright
To be fixed instead of broken,
Our love is now unspoken.
