Goodbye Poem by CAROL HUGHES

Goodbye

Rating: 4.5

Goodbye, goodbye
Oh, it's time
To bid goodbye
To all the pleasures
That I've known with you
Have seen, bud
Blossom and grow

Now, life and time
Are calling me
To foreign shores
New vistas
A new flow of the river
Bids closing to old doors

With love still deep
Eyes saddened with parting
I say goodbye to you
And hope memories
Will warm you

Keeping pain and
Unexplainable Fate
Free from smarting
Crushing all the joys
To come, if, with
Soul open for life
Still true

You will meet the dawn
Of the new day
Walk fearlessly into the
Twilight of each eve
Letting yourself be spun
Removen into a
Truer, sweeter weave
Goodbye
Goodbye
