Even as good neighbor
We were not together
Not by thoughts or by any ideals
The thaw was apparent and real

From childhood days
We had parted ways
He used to be little harsh and non accommodative
I was too adamant and subjective

Now we have turned adult
Earned so much and built
Houses of our choice
To live with family with promises

Old enmity lasts longer
Its roots are going deeper and deeper
It continues even for generations
One must strive hard to improve relation

I tried to break impasse
‘Hello” I addressed when he passed
He did not expect me to address
He bore smile and showed sign of happiness

The trend definitely altered
We were moving ahead and always offered
Greetings were exchanged and frequent meetings took place
Now we are good neighbor and have no bitter case

One needs to keep option open
Think positively and prepare even
To compromise on some issues
It can bring good result to view
