Good Night, Sleep Tight Poem by Dylan Griffin

Good Night, Sleep Tight

Rating: 5.0

10 years down the road,
I've married my special someone.
Oh my how I love her,
Our love was the best.
Then came the child
That we were blessed with.

5 years further down.
On a dark and lonly night,
I just kissed my sweet little angel,
and said, 'Good night, sleep tight.'

During the night I heard her scream,
I rushed into her room only to find that she had been taken.
Kidnapped right from her own bed.
I called the police! !

The next day, they found her,
Or only that which was left.
They said that she had been raped,
and then murdered.

As soon as I heard that,
I burst into tears thinking,
Last that I said to her was, 'Good night, sleep tight.'
I can't believe I wasn't able to say,

'I love you baby girl.'
If only you knew how much I miss her,
Not only me, but you as well, would be in tears.
So now I will put myself to sleep once and for all.

Good night, please don't wake me up in the morning.
