Good Luck To George W Poem by Francis Duggan

Good Luck To George W

He is not a man I could wish to admire
But George W Bush and his wife Laura to their ranch can retire
And draw their big pensions and live the good life
As another ex President and his ex first Lady wife.

Is there anyone quite as naive as he
The President who tried to re-write history
By sending his troops and war planes to Iraq
Where many have fallen when under attack.

Iraq where the dreams of George W were destroyed
And without nothing left to fight for now but his pride
And though all hopes of victory in Iraq may be gone
His words to the troops are to keep fighting on.

Because of his decisions many American, British and other Nations soldiers dead
And for Iraqis years of bloodshed lay ahead
And poor Iraqi mothers for their dead children will weep
The seeds of karma he has sown George W too must reap.

The Bush's may retire to the good life for that them I don't begrudge
And good luck to George W I am not to be his judge
But he must reap the fruits of his bad karma which he has sown one day
For the wrongs we do to others to karma we must pay.
