Good And Evil Poem by James B. Earley

Good And Evil

Rating: 5.0

Devastation wrought
In agonizing ill
Of God's omnipotence
..Or..Satan's will

Would...an Omnipotent God
Allow Satan's power..then
Might the Devil himself
Be some necessary sin
*
*
And 'good'....and 'evil'
...Destiny's course
Conceived and executed
..By that...Omnipotent Force

Author's Note:
'Consequently, if you believe God made Satan, you must realize that all Satan's power comes from God and so that Satan is simply God's child, and that we are God's children also. There are no children of Satan, really.'

Great foresight James. I can see you are a wonderful philosopher. Made me think, then it all clicked in! See, your poem worked for me! 10/10 Karin Anderson

Again Sir James a fantastic view on good VS evil concept. We all have the power to create evil in our lives, it's in our entire DNA. God gave mankind free will, to conquer over evil through Him. When the world is one day a united body of believers, the world WILL see Good, they will see Christ in the flesh, and then, for them who are evil? ? ? ? I think we all know the ending to that story. God Bless, Linda

We all need someone to blame, don't we? Is it God's fault, or the devil's that misfortune overwhelms us; that tragedy overcomes us; that life refuses to run smoothly. How ever hard we try, life refuses to be controlled. And yet ironically, it is its very mystery that enchants and provides the stuff of verse - like this one. Your poem is an articulate and concise appraisal of the paradox of good vs evil. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
