Gonna Poem by Brian Ely

Gonna

I'm gonna fly to the moon
And stay there
Watch you from afar
From that distance
I won't see the scars
Of all the ages of fighting
Squabbles and conquests
It's grown to be so tiresome
I simply do not jest
I'll nestle in the soft dirt
Slowly close my eyes
I'll say bye to all my hurt
One silent, soft lullaby
