Gone Bad Poem by Izik Alcox

Gone Bad

Rating: 5.0

On this gray day I'll say that today
No need to lie, just say goodbye, I won't cry or sigh
Stay away, our love like dried up clay, total dismay
I feel weak, my eyes leak, no words to speak, trying to be meek
Still awake, your love you did fake for your own sake, mine you did take
My heart you did deprive, I must survive, take the dive to stay alive
This gash of a slash turned me to ash, a drowning eyelash
This tear seems queer, not from fear, it's slightly unclear
Afraid of what you've made, a masquerade, I've played and paid
You allude my fortitude while placing me in solitude to conclude
A mad dash like a flash into a crash, a complete clash
Scrape away to escape this mental rape before it takes shape
Continue I must without your lust, seems unjust and slightly robust
I must dry my eye, why did it go awry, yet no reply
Is this a dream with a cruel theme, a scheme so extreme I scream
Throw it away so I grow out of the woe although its slow
