Gone Away Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Gone Away

It must have been a refined moment
I can sense the texture of promises
Scars have been erased
But rather roughly; it needs editing

With kisses all over his neck
I can see how you yearned for him
More than you’ve ever lusted for life;
But he’s gone, gone away with me

I’ve lit every candle in our room
To summon the spirits to join our side
Howl into the raging seas, I don’t care
He’s raw, naked, all off; for me
