Gone Poem by Jessie Jett

Gone

She wasn't there.
I think, it was I;
That missed her so.
Where did she go?
Why did she leave?
Was her life not at ease?

Gone like a theif.
Maybe she was naive.
To forget it all.
She left it all.
Possibily leaving us to fall.
Down on our knees,
As everything stalled.

Leaving us at a standstill.
Relinquish us for only a thrill.
She wasn't there.
She made life so unfair.
She was gone.
An inclement lasting love affair.

I think, it was I;
That missed her so.
Where did she go?
Why did she leave?
Why was it us left to grieve?

An awakening of a child's eye.
Unmindful, and innocent.
Unknowingly we cried.
From what came morning,
To wake upon;
To realize a moment.
She never really was there.
She was gone.
