Gone Poem by Kailey Marie Abbott

Gone

When I see your face my heart just flies
And when you leave my heart just dies
When I see you there I try to smile
But the happiness only stays for a little while
Our hands intertwined
And your eyes on mine
As you brush my hair out of my face
And we run off to the old maple tree
Our favorite place
Your nervous smile
Your big brown eyes
I never noticed but now I realize
It was always you who was looking my way
It was always you that, with me, you loved to spend the whole day
It was always you that made me feel wanted
But I never came to see what flaunted
I never came to see that you where perfect for me
I never told you that I felt the same for you as you did for me
And now you’re gone
Yeah, I missed you
But when I told you
You left me all alone
You’re gone
I’m gone
And we both will never return to each other’s arms
But still I wish…
