Golden Tamarin - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Golden Tamarin - Lincoln Park Zoo

I am a tamarin, I am,
A golden headed lion one.
My world is under my exam.
If you stop by then you're the one
I watch at the Lincoln Park Zoo,
From my tree hollow, cuz I'm shy,
But always happy to see you.
Humans are fun, I don't know why.
I be a monkey from Brazil,
I hear the humans say of me.
I nibble fruit to get my fill
Of human watching energy.

My head of hair is fiery thatch,
And I stick out like a lit match.
