Golden Rose Poem by robin machorro

Golden Rose

Rating: 5.0

I took the chance to get to know
who you are, what you been through
what you had to say surprise me
I was interested more and more each day
I had learn new things from you
I saw more then just your face
I saw through you
to a pure place, where nothing grows
but golden roses
and I saw your dark past
so I open up to you too
I felt so safe, I was home
I felt comfort from head to toe
but people didnt get the chance to know you
they took you away from me
they said you were posion
and I could catch some disease
but never did I listen
I needed you here
but they force me away from you
because they never got the chance to see
the golden rose you are
they only saw your thorns
that cut me deep in my skin
but these cuts I dont mind
there my reminder of your touch
and if I bleed to death
because of how your a 'sin'
then I'll bleed forever
since they never will let me
hold you ever again
